Congratulations! The Omicron Rho Lambda Chapter of Vicksburg, MS was recently awarded the March of Dimes Project Alpha Award at Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.’s 97th General Convention in Dallas, TX on July 29, 2023 at their Gala.
We, the men of Omicron Rho Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., hosted our annual Gentlemen Luncheon on June 3, 2023 to honor and congratulate the young men of our mentoring program before we ended the year before the summer break.
We, the men of Omicron Rho Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., held a small intimate meet and greet session on March 9, 2023 that only consisted of Alpha brothers to welcome two of the fraternity’s newest Alpha men, Bro. Adrian Clark and Bro. Tyrone Pinkins. They both were initiated or crossed the burning sands March 5, 2023 as Alumni brothers with the Mississippi District’s Area 4 Spring 2023 Cluster.

Greetings and God Speed from the Mighty House of Alpha my dear brothers and friends of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. I have been blessed to lead such a fine group of brothers by being their President of the Omicron Rho Lambda Chapter. These brothers and I truly work diligently to support and carry out the aims of the fraternity: Manly Deeds, Scholarships, and Love for All Mankind.
The Omicron Rho Lambda Chapter has been steadfast at serving the Vicksburg, Mississippi community. We will continue to do our part in developing leaders, promoting brotherhood and academic excellence, while providing service and advocacy for our community. First of All, Servants of All, We Shall Transcend All.

You only need to put in your home address and it will show your polling location and a map from your home to the polling location. If a Mississippian would like to check to see if they are registered to vote, they can visit https://www.msegov.com/sos/voter_registration/amiregistered/Search.
Applicants can register in-person in the Circuit or Municipal Clerk’s Office or mail registration applications.

- Our chapter brother, Bro. Ty Pinkins, is a candidate for Mississippi Secretary of State. VOTE for him on November 7, 2023.
- Congressman Bennie G. Thompson will be the keynote speaker at our 35th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship Breakfast at the Vicksburg Convention Center, January 15, 2024 at 8:30 a.m.

A Chapter On the Move
Convention Call for the 99th Anniversary (93rd) Southern Regional Convention scheduled for February 29 – March 3, 2024, in Charlotte, NC at the Charlotte Convention Center, where we will convene under the theme, “Alpha South: Boldly Advocating for Communities and Protecting Democracy”
Regular registration is now open and runs until December 31, 2023. Late registration begins on January 2, 2024, and ends on January 31, 2024. There will be no registration after January 31, 2024. Additionally, there will be no on-site registration. All registration must be done through Alpha MX. Questions/Issues concerning registration should be emailed to [email protected].
